What about houses? There's one on our Kerrisdale street housing a family. It has a broken front window repaired with cardboard, front steps literally falling apart, no maintenance outside of any kind: I file a report and the family is evicted? Not sure what to do in a case like this. As for the tower on Balsam many seniors live in that building and seniors do tend to vote.

Kim, thanks for reading. I guess you need to use your judgment around the specific issues. 5455 is a high-rise apartment bldg with a non-performing landlord. You're describing either a family who are not maintaining the home they own, or a rental with a bad landlord. Certainly, if you feel the family's tenure is endangered, then pass on it. Cheers

They do not really want you to speak, do they? The sad fact is, today's politcans believe they are potentates and we, the people, mere serfs. They don't give a damn!

Thanks for reading. I can't argue with your perspective, can just try to change the politicians!

Very odd. When I worked for a large land/property owner in the 80s and 90s, the City inspectors were all over us for SOM, and if any related to fire safety, it had to be corrected that day. And I'm surprised that Balsam can get any insurance. We had to show no outstanding orders or you wouldn't get renewal.

Thanks for reading. All changed starting with Vision's ascent to power. It seems things like SOM have been starved in favour of...I'm not sure what!
