Approved Building Consultants makes sense. The larger the building means there is more money on the table. Unfortunately, the increased investment generally means there are more influencing factors. A recent approved high-rise at Coal Harbour quotes: "Partners Architects, will STRIVE for LEED Gold and Passive House green building certifications". The operative misdirection is the word "Strive". The Real Estate sign at the site says "target". All who are financially involved are counting on no oversight. The Defense in court is ambiguity not fact. Approved Building Consultants should be hiring lawyers familiar with Canada's Criminal Code and Fraudulent Misdirection.

Ron, I worry about a system where consultants have to retain lawyers from the get go. I am aware of projects where Consultants have been sued because of green bldg claims, which I expect is why "strive" is in there.
